Grounded Guidance

Hanging Rock/Pilot Mountain Area

November 10th-12th

Intention: Feeling grounded in life.

Ground Yourself In So You Can Soar!

You are invited to attend a silent retreat exploring Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain. The landscape naturally induces a relaxed state for self-reflection and renewal.  With the prominent geologic formations all around us from the quartzite pinnacle of Pilot Mountain to the Sauratown  mountain range that includes Hanging Rock, you will start to understand what it means to be and feel solid as a rock and grounded. Evidence of the ancient Iapetus Sea can be found throughout the area which adds to the interesting history of this area.

Learn ~ Participate ~ Grow

Throughout the weekend, you will be encouraged to participate in a variety of experiences to awaken your cells for living in harmony with the earth, others, and yourself. Various techniques will be incorporated throughout the weekend to help you feel grounded and centered, to tap into your own knowing (all information is within), to fellowship with others, and to honor the earth.

Spiritual Landscapes ~ Sacred Sites ~ Inner Journeys

During our time together, I will be serving as your guide to sacred sites that are cosmic, numinous, and aesthetically pleasing. This area naturally provides a space for inner journeys into one’s heart and mind. Pilot Mountain, also known as Jomokee, the great guide, will help facilitate a weekend of feeling connected and grounded to living life with intention and purpose.

Hikes ~ Ceremony ~ Fellowship

We will do a few hikes depending upon the weather and energy of the group. All hikes are within Hanging Rock State Park and Pilot Mountain. You will be invited on numerous occasion to experience the cosmic and numinous energies present through ceremonies ranging from Cherokee smudging and tobacco offerings to Hawaiian prayers and a Peruvian despacho ceremony. Connecting to others through group consciousness will be a big part of the weekend while also remaining inward and self-reflective.

Waterfalls to explore~ A Lake to Reflect by ~ Rocks to sit and think on

You will have time to enjoy the sacred waters and the panoramic views from the mountains as you feel the rocks beneath you providing a strong foundation. You will have the opportunity to explore the energies of the plant world through communing with the forest through the Celtic way of seeing.

Depending upon the energy of the group activities may include:

  • Making a personal walking stick (we will supply the stick, you supply the creative personal designs reflecting you to put on it)
  • Waterfall Clearing/Blessing
  • Lessons in Ley lines and sacred power spots around earth
  • Lake time to reflect and be still
