Connect to Nature. Nurture Your Mind, Body, and Spirit
In 2005, Amanda began exploring shamanism, alternative healing techniques, and general spirituality topics as she began to ask what most do at some point "Why am I here?". Through that question she took as many classes as she could, read various books on energy work and shamanism, and met teachers from different paths and learned from life and the natural world. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher, Huna Teacher, and has taught meditation classes, led shamanic journeys, and collaborated with other teachers in developing and integrating classes combining Huna and Reiki with yoga.
During her doctoral research she dived into exploring various belief systems from the Cherokee, Aymara, Hawaiians, and Celts. She explored connections and myths they associated to sacred places, traditional healing methods they used, as well as ceremonies, rituals, and offerings they conducted for the earth or others. Through exploring this academically, the knowledge and experience positively impacted her own way of being and living as well.
